This Juneteenth, we must move from performative acts to truly eliminating racism | Opinion

We have to move past performative gestures that make us feel good and take transformative action that may make people uncomfortable. We have to be committed to changing both our individual views and our collective policies.

We have to hunger for hope. Hope is bigger than Juneteenth napkins from Walmart. Hope is bigger than giving a day off to everyone for a federal holiday. Hope looks like financially supporting Black curators of Juneteenth designs.
